St George's Featured on Barcelona TV
Rev Andrew Tweedy was featured as part of a local TV programme documenting the lives and experiences of newcomers to Barcelona. Titled Any Zero (Year Zero), each episode of the series focuses on a different neighbourhood and records the observations of diverse people during their first year in the city. For the segment on Sant Gervasi, Andrew was featured alongside a caregiver from Bolivia and a student greengrocer from Peru. The programme makers spent time with Andrew as he carried out his priestly duties, recording a Sunday worship service at St George's and following him as he brought communion to someone ill in hospital. "I have the best job in the world," he said. Pointing to Tibidabo from his terrace, he commented on the juxtaposition of the mountaintop church and amusement park side by side: "You can have fun and church together. They don't have to be separate." The scenes shot at St George's certainly make that point. Watch the episode.
