Routes 2: The Journey Continues
Course concludes on June 19th. Have you got the courage of your convictions? How should we be doing evangelism? What’s penal substitution? These and other questions are being dealt with in Routes 2, a 10-session discipleship course that’s taking place on Sundays at St George’s during March, April, May and June, from 2pm to 4pm, starting with lunch beforehand at 1pm.
The sessions are as follows:
- Session 1 (March 20). Introduction: How do people view Christians, how do we view ourselves, what should we be doing?
- Session 2 (March 27). What can we learn from the life of Olympic runner Eric Liddell?
- Session 3 (April 3). What can we learn from the life of Joni Eareckson Tada, who has been quadriplegic since a diving accident in 1967?
- Session 4 (April 10). Individual v. Corporate Responsibility: What action should we be taking?
- Session 5 (April 17). Reflective practice, using a prayer journal.
- EASTER BREAK
- Session 6 (May 22). Identifying gifts, personal action plans.
- Session 7 (May 29). Penal Substitution: Making informed decisions, how to be objective, how to analyse and weigh arguments.
- Session 8 (June 5). Approaches to Homosexuality: Making informed decisions, how to be objective, how to analyse and weigh arguments.
- Session 9 (June 12). Evangelism: How to reach out? What should we being doing?
- Session 10 (June 19). Interfaith Dialogue: plenary, answering questions.
As each session builds upon the previous one, we would ask that anyone wanting to join the course be willing to commit to following the journey through to the end.
