Established two centuries ago in Barcelona, St George’s seeks to be a Spirit-led community, where English-speaking people of every nation are welcomed, cared for and equipped to live in love and service. 

Although we are an Anglican/Episcopal Church, those who come to our church are drawn from a variety of other denominational backgrounds and easily find a place to feel at home.

 And though we are all English-speaking, we are by no means all English: with more than 25 different nationalities represented in our congregation, you will no doubt find yourself among friends, no matter where in the world you’re from!

We conduct blessings of marriage, baptisms and funerals for people who need an English-speaking chaplain at these important stages.

An increasing number of young families are attracted by our thriving Sunday School for children ages 3-12, while people of all ages enjoy a busy social programme throughout the year, where the “spiritual” is often encountered through the “social”.

We come to St George’s to learn how to live differently, in order that we might go and make a difference in whatever context we find ourselves in, both while we are living here, and wherever we go in future after leaving Barcelona. In this sense, our church family and Christian impact span the globe!
