Music Group
The purpose of this group is to provide musical accompaniment for the Sunday services and also for special services held from time to time throughout the year. We are a mixed group of musicians including pianists, guitarists, a violinist, drummer as well as singers.
We usually rehearse midweek and also on Sunday mornings when there is no 10 o’clock Communion. There are also occasional jam sessions on Friday nights with the Chaplain.
Once a year, we form a choir for the annual Christmas carol service, a venerable St George’s tradition. We sing carols new and old, some in unison, some in parts depending on whether we have the right balance of sopranos, altos, tenors and basses who can follow the music, sing in tune and come to the practices!
