Prayer

The church has many active prayer groups. If you would like people to pray for you, please send your prayer requests to the church office. All information is kept strictly confidential.

Prayer Chain: A group of people in the church pray regularly for people who send in their requests, usually by email or phone. Pass your request to the first link in the chain, and they will pass it on down the line, praying for it in turn so that needs are constantly being lifted up to the Lord by someone throughout the week. You can also volunteer to be a link in the chain, if you feel that is your calling, and help pray for others, too. Contact: Janet Webster to find out who are the links in the chain, and find your nearest link.

24/7 Prayer Room: St George's has been staging 24/7 prayer events, in association with 24/7 Prayer International. Church members sign up to pray during one-hour time slots covering at least a 24-hour period. During that time, people are able to engage in various participatory prayer activities, which are designed to help them delve deeper into prayer and draw closer to the heart of God. See video of a typical Prayer Room experience.
