Women's Groups

Tuesday Topics: We are a group of ladies who meet every Tuesday from 11am to 1pm in the church lounge for socializing, lunches, making preserves and cakes, and once a month we may have a guest speaker give a talk. We also organize outings. We sometimes do fund-raising activities, with all proceeds donated to the Salvation Army or the church – in the past we have bought the cooker/stove, the microwave and installed a dishwasher in the church kitchen, as well as replacement items for Communion. We also started a knitting project for charity. Our aim is to have an enjoyable time together sharing fellowship and friendship. Please feel free to join us – you will be made to feel very welcome. Contact: Pam Tarres or Janet Webster.

Friday Focus: A group of ladies meets every Friday from 11am to 1pm in the church lounge to study God’s Word, pray together and share in fellowship over coffee/tea. It’s very informal and flexible – if someone needs prayer or comfort, we minister to them first. We maintain strict confidence – no gossip allowed. Numbers vary, but there are usually 7 women of 7 nationalities and it’s always nice to get to know new people. We may not find the solution to all life’s problems, but for many it’s simply good to know that someone cares.

Women’s Fellowship Group: Social events are arranged monthly, providing a chance for women of all ages to get together, build fellowship and make new friends. Activities have ranged from a guided tour of the Barri Gotic, a games evening, a film evening, book discussions and general socializing over food and drinks. For more information, contact: Billie Tweedy via the church.
