As an Anglican Church in Spain, we are unable to perform marriages as such. However, the Chaplain is very happy to perform a “Blessing of Marriage” for couples who have already gone through a civil marriage ceremony (the legal bit) in Spain or elsewhere. A Blessing of Marriage service can take at St George’s Church or at another suitable venue. If an alternative venue is used, the couple are responsible for its booking, payment and any necessary permissions.
Please note: There are fees involved for a Blessing of Marriage service, which vary depending on whether the service is to take place on St George’s church premises or elsewhere.
Contact the Chaplain or church administrator if you would like to make a booking or to discuss your marriage plans.
An application form for a Blessing of Marriage can be downloaded here.
Images of the church venue can be viewed here.
Here is what one couple had to say about their service held at St George's: "We wanted to say thank you very much for having conducted our service. Everything was perfect, and we've received so many beautiful comments about your church. Here is a picture taken on the day in your church, should you wish to use it. Thank you so very much."
